Partnerships
Open Current Affairs considers partnerships that fit a thoughtful publication about public issues. A useful collaboration should be clear to readers, relevant to our subject, and easy to distinguish from independent editorial work.
Possible collaborations
We consider clearly defined collaborations such as labelled partner articles, campaign features, newsletter or category placements, and other standing partner placements. Proposals should state the subject, intended audience, format, timing, and the organisation or product involved. We do not promise acceptance or placement.
How material is labelled
Paid or partner-supported material is identified with a plain label near the content. A label remains visible wherever the material appears, including standing partner placements. We keep partner material distinct from independent articles, and payment does not buy an editorial endorsement.
Editorial boundaries
We assess proposals for relevance, clarity, and fit with the publication. We may decline a collaboration or ask for changes to its presentation. Partners do not approve independent articles, select their conclusions, or receive a promise of favourable coverage.
Making a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the partnership option. Include the proposed format, subject, intended audience, and any relevant timing. Please describe the collaboration plainly so we can assess it without assumptions.
Context is part of the story.
A public issue rarely begins or ends with a headline. We make room for the background, the competing ideas, and the questions still taking shape.
